The races
In 2017 we will organize 3 races: The first race is the Eneco Solarboatrace on the 26th till the 27th of may and will take place in Akkrum. The second race is in june and will take place in Lelystad. The last race is the Young Emotion Oosterwolde on the 30th of june till the 1st of july and will take place in Oosterwolde.
Dutch championship:
Every year the teams battle over the Dutch championship Young Solar Challenge.
In 2016 the points were count like this:
- Akkrum, 7th of May, score x3
- Oosterwolde, 11th of June, score x2
- Grou/Leeuwarden, the 8th and the 9th of July, score x4
The total score will be divided by 9. This will determine the final overall score and who will become winner of the Dutch championship Young Solar Challenge. It is not mandatory to participate in all parts. In addition to these official competitions, all teams were invited to join the parade in the canals of Amsterdam on July 2nd with the boats of the Dutch Solar Challenge.
